Savannah Halloween Drag Queen Bar Crawl

2 hours

Easy

Celebrate Halloween in Savannah with a drag queen–led bar crawl packed with cocktails, costumes, ghost stories, haunted legends and spooky River Street fun.

Savannah doesn’t really have a drinking problem. We have a dead-people problem. Fortunately, we’re going to investigate both.

Join Savannah Shenanigans for a Halloween night out unlike anything else in the city: a high-energy drag queen–led bar crawl mixed with Savannah ghost stories, local legends, historic haunts and plenty of cocktails along the way.

Meet your fabulous drag queen host in Ellis Square before heading into downtown Savannah for a night of spooky stories and bar-hopping through some of the city’s most atmospheric streets.

Your crawl begins at Congress Street Social Club, where you’ll hear the local legend of the mysterious ghost said to haunt the ladies’ room before grabbing your first drink and meeting your fellow Halloween revelers.

From there, venture into Factors Walk, one of Savannah’s most atmospheric historic districts. Beneath the old warehouses and iron walkways, hear stories of unexplained footsteps, shadowy figures, mysterious voices and the strange legends surrounding Savannah’s old vaults and passageways.

Next, descend toward River Street, where steep historic steps, old retaining walls, sailors, ships and centuries of waterfront history have created some of Savannah’s darkest tales. Hear the story behind the infamous Stone Stairs of Death, real tragedies connected to the waterfront and the legends that have grown around the Savannah River.

After another cocktail stop, the night continues through the historic 1912 power plant, now part of Plant Riverside District, before heading upstairs to Electric Moon overlooking the Savannah River.

With the river below and the Savannah skyline around you, your host brings the night to a close with stories of Florence Martus, Savannah’s legendary Waving Girl, lost sailors, maritime folklore and the CSS Georgia — a Civil War ironclad that spent more than a century beneath the river.

This is not a traditional ghost tour and it is definitely not a quiet history lecture.

Expect drag, cocktails, costumes, Savannah history, local folklore, spooky stories, laughter and plenty of Halloween Shenanigans.
